we visited your place on friday 9th October
was ok, spa pool was the best thing about the place pity the rooms were a mess and the place smelt musty, maybe a good cleaning of the carpet (steamcleaning) perhaps mite get rid of the smell
i wont be back any time soon, its a shame cos being the only sauna in the region you could have a really good place otherwise

Love the place and go there all the time although it doesn´t quite seem to have the energy of the old place. The one thing I always laugh at are the guys that go there and then spend all night simply walking around the place and not talking to anyone. Newsflash guys! We´re all here for the same thing!

I ahve been here several times and would luv to see more gloryholes. At present there is only one. Some guys are a bit shy and don’t like to have there ass being open for everyone to see. Maybe some of the cubicles can be converted?

What’s with the slingroom in this place??!!

Couple of bitching / suggestions from a guy that delve into the Darker Arts

1. The room is not big enough to swing a cat in. Could we please have a bigger room?

2. There is *NO* stool to sit on while working a nice piece of arse. Could we please have a wooden bar man stool with legs choped shorter? That pretty old school and how it should be done right?

3. Also there is no place to put your Crisco, gloves etc. So, could we please have a work space to lay out the tools of the trade?

1. great website
2. could do with a LCD TV
3. key board needs cleaning, i see pubic hair in it now
4. facility is ok, i suppose, depends on which standard you apply
5. extra towel should not be charged, welly doesn;t strike me as a city lack of water
6. the lounge area is bit too empty, a screen should do to divide it with the check in counter
7. lube and condem dispenser in wet and dry sauna, maybe i didn’t notice them
8. toilet area could do with some painting on the wall, the light there is too bright

More light would definitely be a plus, as would more lube.
I didn’t even know there were glory holes or a slingroom before reading this. Perhaps put up discreet signs showing the way to different parts of the sauna? This shows patrons where to go, but also acts as advertising for the various facilities Checkmate offers.
I also think flavoured condoms should be provided as well as non-flavoured ones – if it’s not covered, it’s not going inside me!
Perhaps the “Gay Sauna 101″ event that ran as part of Pride ’10 could also occur at a couple of other times throughout the year? I was scared shitless my first time at Checkmate, but wound up having a brilliant time anyway .
